Feel free to share your impressions and thoughts in Facebook group "Math in Moscow", organized by our alumni. Why shouldn't you come? If you intend only to go to school, study in the evenings, and eat American food for your entire stay, you're wasting your time. .. Why should you come? Because it's there. You can continue to study mathematics at a very competitive level while learning more about the world than you ever could staying at home. I can walk to Lenin's Tomb during my lunch break. On weekends, I go out of the town with one Russian, two French, and an Italian. There are some things in life that need to be experienced before you can understand who you are, and how your relate to the world. This is one of them. Alex Smith I think I learned as much or more than I would have had I stayed in the U.S. I certainly wouldn't have experienced as much emotional growth. Being in another country really changed me. Seeing another way of life really made me look at the world differently. Ian Le The department here is the friendliest and closest I've ever found. It's been an absolute joy to be here, and I can't wait to come back. Tom Church The mathematics here is beautiful; the professors here are not intimidating; the city is quite beautiful. Most important, the experience makes one a more well-rounded individual. Anand Patel Great program, great courses. The highlight was the chance to take small, two or three person classes with amazing professors. I learned more math this semester than in any other before. Ian Whitehead The time I spent in Moscow is an unexpected treasure in my life. Here I made great friends and went to lots of museums, galleries, theaters with them. The Russian students here I met are most amazing. And through them I feel the spirit of the city. The classes here are also impressive with a math higher average difficulty and intensity than their counterparts. I can't wait for the next semester in Moscow which 'll happen after the break.
