Why shouldn't you come? If you intend only to go to school, study in the evenings, and eat American food for your entire stay, you're wasting your time. .. Why should you come? Because it's there. You can continue to study mathematics at a very competitive level while learning more about the world than you ever could staying at home. I can walk to Lenin's Tomb during my lunch break. On weekends, I go out of the town with one Russian, two French, and an Italian. There are some things in life that need to be experienced before you can understand who you are, and how your relate to the world. This is one of them.

I think I learned as much or more than I would have had I stayed in the U.S. I certainly wouldn't have experienced as much emotional growth. Being in another country really changed me. Seeing another way of life really made me look at the world differently.

I've learned a lot this semester, both mathematically and culturally. I would highly recommend Math in Moscow to any one looking for new and exciting experience.

The department here is the friendliest and closest I've ever found. It's been an absolute joy to be here, and I can't wait to come back.

The mathematics here is beautiful; the professors here are not intimidating; the city is quite beautiful. Most important, the experience makes one a more well-rounded individual.

Great program, great courses. The highlight was the chance to take small, two or three person classes with amazing professors. I learned more math this semester than in any other before.
