A workshop on Algorithms in
Bioinformatics will be held on October 7-9 in Moscow. The Workshop
will be held at the
French-Russian
J.-V. Poncelet laboratory located in downtown Moscow. The Workshop
will be sponsored by a grant of
RFFI and
CNRS, and supported by
INRIA.
The previous editions of this Workshop were organized in 2006 (see web page) and in 2007 as a post-conference event of the MCCMB conference.
Workshop will cover a range of topics related to algorithmic modelisation in bioinformatics including:
- algorithms for comparative genomics
- motifs in biological sequences
- string algorithms
- RNA analysis
- proteins: secondary and spacial structures
- models of molecular interactions
The purpose of the Workshop is to foster
contacts between russian and international communities in the area. The
Workshop is conceived as an informal event that would encourage
informal discussions and interactions among participants. It is planned
that the Workshop will feature several invited talks by mathematicians
and biologists as well as regular talks.
