Infinite global fields

Philippe Lebacque (Besançon)

Friday 28 October, 10:30 - 11:30

Abstract

In my talk, I will first recall what is an infinite global field and what invariants one may attach to such fields. Then, I will shortly discuss their basic properties. After that, I will describe several constructions of asymptotically good infinite global fields that answer natural questions on the Tsfasman-Vladuts invariants of such fields.
