Monday, October 8 The first day of the conference, Monday October 8th, may be entitled "The mathematics of Sossinsky's friends", and will be consist of five one-hour talks by prominent mathematicians on their research results, not necessarily the latest ones, but results that they feel are appropriate for the occasion. It will consist of talks by five other prominent mathematicians on topics closely related to Sossinsky's own work, thus giving a brief chronology of his research career, and will be concluded by Alexei's own talk on his recent work.
